Today’s Facts LLC, a Texas LLC (“Today’s Facts,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account data: If you sign up, we collect basic account identifiers (such as email or OAuth provider ID) needed to provide the service.
- Guest account data: If you continue as a guest, we create an anonymous account ID to save your progress and preferences.
- Usage data (anonymous analytics): We use Aptabase for fully anonymous analytics to understand app usage and improve performance.
- Advertising data: Our app uses Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data.
- Communications: We collect information you send us (support requests, feedback, or email replies).
How we use your information
- Provide and maintain the Today’s Facts app and services.
- Create and maintain an anonymous guest account if you continue as a guest.
- Link a later full account (email or OAuth) to your existing anonymous guest account ID.
- Send product updates, newsletters, and daily facts by email when you opt in.
- Measure and improve app performance and features.
- Serve and measure ads in the app.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data as described below.
Sharing and service providers
- Supabase: Used for app backend services, including user data storage, authentication, and account management.
- Aptabase: Used for fully anonymous analytics. We do not send personal data to Aptabase.
- Google AdMob: Used to serve ads and measure ad performance.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect users and the service.
Guest accounts and linking
If you continue as a guest, we create an anonymous account ID. If you later create a full account with an email or OAuth provider, we link it to your existing anonymous guest account ID so your data carries over.
Email preferences
We use email to keep you informed about the product, send newsletters, and deliver daily facts when you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in our emails or contacting us.
Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
International users
Today’s Facts is currently available only in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Your privacy rights
If you have questions about your data or want to request access or deletion, contact us at privacy@todays-facts.com. You can also request deletion of specific data without deleting your entire account, though we may need to retain certain information for legal, security, or compliance reasons.
